    What is Cataract Treatment?

With MULTIFOCAL LENSES to be placed on the eye during cataract treatment, you can see near, middle distance and far.

    Multifocal (Multi Focus)

It is a treatment technique named according to the type of lens used in cataract treatment. It takes its name from the Multifocal Intraocular Lens, which are intraocular lenses that enable both near and far vision. By using this Lens, our patients have the opportunity to see both distance and near vision.

Intraocular lenses placed during cataract surgery are single vision. If the lens number is adjusted to see well at a distance, it is necessary to use glasses to see well at close range. Multifocal intraocular lenses are multifocal and provide good vision at both distance and near when used instead of standard lenses. In people who do not have cataracts but have high refractive error, multifocal intraocular lenses can be placed after phacoemulsification to provide good distance and near vision.
